New Renault Duster 2026: Renault is preparing to launch the new-gen Duster SUV in the Indian market. Interested buyers can pre-book the new SUV online or at authorised Renault dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 25,000. Along with the new Duster, Renault will also launch two more products, including the Kwid facelift and a brand-new 7-seater SUV in our market. Both models have been caught testing on the Indian roads. Media reports suggest the company is also developing a new mini-Duster, a new sub-4 meter SUV to rival the Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
New Renault Duster 2026
The new Duster will be launched in March 2026, and deliveries are expected to commence from April. It will initially come with petrol engine options. Renault has confirmed that the new Duster will get a strong hybrid powertrain, which will be launched by October, before Diwali 2026.
It will be based on the brand’s CMF-B modular platform, also known as Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP). The SUV will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Skoda Kushaq and others in the category.
Engine options include a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 163PS and 280Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed DCT. It will also get a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 100PS and 160Nm with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The strong hybrid version will use a 1.8L GDI petrol engine with a dual-motor setup and a 1.4kWh battery pack, offering combined power of 160PS and torque of 205Nm.
7-Seater Renault SUV
Renault has started testing the new 7-seater SUV, which will rival the Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV 7XO and Hyundai Alcazar. It will be offered with a 1.3L turbo petrol engine and a 1.8L GDI petrol with a strong hybrid engine.
The new SUV is likely to measure around 4.6 meters in length and have a wheelbase of around 2.7 meters. It could be revealed by Diwali, and its launch is expected in Q1, 2027.
Kwid Facelift
Renault will give a mid-life makeover to the Kwid hatchback. It will receive revised design and interior with more features. Changes include a revised front grille, headlamps and tail-lamps, along with new alloy wheels, LED lighting elements and refreshed bumpers.
Inside the cabin, the hatchback could get a bigger touchscreen infotainment unit, a new digital driver’s display and a new colour scheme. It will continue to be offered with a 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol engine, with transmission options including a 5MT and 5AMT.
Mini Duster
Renault is preparing a new sub-4 meter SUV, mini Duster, for the Indian market. It will be positioned between the Kiger and Duster. The compact SUV will feature an upright stance, boxy design, rugged body cladding and large wheels.
The mini Duster will rival the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon and others in the category. Likely to be launched in 2027, it will be powered by a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine with manual and CVT gearbox options, along with a 1.0L NA petrol engine.
