4 Hybrid Cars Launch in 2027
Hybrid Cars Launch in 2027: The demand for hybrid cars is increasing rapidly in India. Rising fuel costs and stricter emission regulations are encouraging manufacturers to introduce strong hybrid vehicles. Over the next two years, several new hybrid models are expected, ranging from SUVs to hatchbacks, offering better fuel efficiency.
Here are four hybrid cars that are likely to launch in India in 2027.
1. Hyundai Creta Hybrid
Hybrid Cars Launch in 2027: The Hyundai Creta Hybrid is expected to arrive in early 2027 along with the next-generation Creta. This model will enter the strong hybrid SUV segment, which is growing quickly in India.
It is expected to use a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine combined with a self-charging hybrid system. Power output could be around 115-120hp, while fuel efficiency may exceed 22-25 kmpl, making it a practical hybrid SUV option.
This SUV will rival the Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The expected price range is between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 21 lakh.
2. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid is likely to debut in early 2027. It will introduce Maruti’s HEV series hybrid technology.
This system uses a 1.2-litre Z-Series engine that works mainly as a generator. The engine charges the battery, and the electric motor drives the wheels. This setup could deliver more than 35 kmpl, making it highly fuel-efficient.
The expected price could be between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 15 lakh, positioning it as an affordable hybrid car.
3. Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid
The Maruti Suzuki Swift Hybrid is expected to launch by late 2027. It will use the same hybrid system as the Fronx, combining a petrol engine with an electric motor.
Fuel efficiency could reach 35-40 kmpl, making it one of the most efficient hatchbacks. Pricing is expected to remain competitive, likely between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh.
4. Maruti Suzuki Baleno Hybrid
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno Hybrid is also expected to arrive by late 2027. It will use the same HEV hybrid system with a 1.2-litre engine acting as a generator.
Mileage could exceed 35 kmpl, offering improved efficiency compared to petrol versions. The expected price range is between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 13.5 lakh. This model will compete with the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.
With multiple hybrid launches planned, hybrid technology is expected to become more common in the Indian automotive market.
